Hello

I discovered spoken word poetry at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, admittedly after Russell Simmons and Lin-Manuel did, but it was still ground-breaking for me and pivotal for my soul. I've written songs under waterfalls, facilitated blessing circles for brides, and produced community programs to connect, inspire, and raise awareness. After graduating from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Public Relations, I studied ancient texts (and Tai Chi) in Jerusalem, so my ancestry can inform my path. I then became the founding Communications Director at Romemu, the flagship Renewal synagogue of Manhattan. From there, I lived in the Bay Area, South Florida, and finally Atlanta, collecting a cast of characters, and tools in my tool belt, along the way. I've spoken to an audience of 1,500 on the myths surrounding organ and tissue donation, and performed puppet shows to an audience of 400 at the Center for Puppetry Arts. Through my adventures, I have managed websites, social media accounts, listservs, and databases, edited magazines and newsletters, both digital and print, produced web and video series, promoted and photographed events, and written articles on a broad spectrum of compelling topics. I live to write, and write to live. I'd love to know your story and what inspires you.
